1. Scope and who handles information

This Privacy Policy explains how the unincorporated project known as Mythspan and its Founders collect, use, disclose, store, and otherwise process personal information in connection with the Mythspan website, community, campaign library, accounts, submissions, comments, ratings, communications, and related services, together called the "Services".

"Personal Information" means information about an identified or reasonably identifiable person. "User Content" means material you submit or make available through the Services, including profile information, campaign submissions, comments, ratings, reports, and messages.

2. Information we may collect

Information you provide may include your email address, login and authentication details, username, profile picture, short profile description, campaign submissions, images, author credit, comments, ratings, saved stories, moderation reports, support requests, legal requests, and other messages.

Information collected automatically may include device and browser type, operating system, language, approximate location derived from IP address, pages viewed, links and controls used, referral source, session times, identifiers, cookie or local-storage information, crash and performance information, security events, and server logs.

If you use Google, Apple, or another sign-in provider, we may receive the account information that provider makes available under your settings and its terms, such as an identifier, name, and email address. We do not receive your password for that third-party account.

3. How we may use information

We may use information to create and authenticate accounts; display profiles and community activity; receive, review, edit, publish, promote, and moderate submissions; operate comments, ratings, saves, search, and community features; send login, account, legal, safety, and service messages; respond to requests; prevent abuse and security incidents; enforce our terms; improve and understand the Services; keep records; comply with law; and establish, exercise, or defend legal rights.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, processing may rely on performance of our agreement with you, consent, legitimate interests in operating and protecting the Services, compliance with legal obligations, and other lawful grounds.

4. When information may be shared

We may disclose information to hosting, authentication, email, storage, analytics, security, moderation, support, professional advisory, and other service providers that help operate the Services. We may also disclose information where required by law, legal process, or a competent authority; to protect people, rights, safety, or the Services; in connection with suspected fraud or abuse; or to establish, exercise, or defend legal rights.

If Mythspan is incorporated, reorganised, transferred, financed, acquired, merged, or succeeded by another operator, information may be disclosed or transferred as part of that event or its evaluation, subject to applicable law.

Mythspan does not sell Personal Information. We do not share Personal Information with advertisers for their own direct marketing unless we first provide any notice or choice required by law.

5. Public profiles and community content

Usernames, profile pictures, profile descriptions, published submissions, author credits, comments, ratings, and related activity may be public. Search engines and other people may view, index, copy, quote, discuss, or share public material. Removing material from Mythspan does not remove copies already made or indexed elsewhere.

Do not include private, confidential, or sensitive information in public fields or submissions. Do not provide another person's Personal Information unless you have a lawful basis and the necessary permission.

6. Cookies, local storage, and similar technologies

The Services may use cookies, browser storage, pixels, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences and saved stories, protect accounts, measure use, diagnose faults, and improve performance. Browser controls may let you block or delete these technologies, but some features may then stop working.

7. Retention

We retain Personal Information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including account operation, publication, moderation, security, recordkeeping, dispute resolution, enforcement, and legal compliance. Retention periods depend on the type of information, why it is held, risk, and legal requirements.

Public submissions or comments may remain available after an account closes, including under the licence in the Terms of Use. We may retain removed material, account records, logs, backups, and evidence where reasonably needed for safety, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or the exercise of legal rights.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical, organisational, and administrative safeguards designed to protect Personal Information. No service, transmission, or storage method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee security, confidentiality, availability, or recovery. You are responsible for securing your account, email, device, and authentication methods.

9. International processing

Mythspan and its service providers may process information in Singapore and other countries. Those countries may have different privacy laws. Where required, we will take reasonable steps designed to protect transferred Personal Information in accordance with applicable law.

10. Age restriction

The Services are intended only for people aged 18 or older. If you believe a person under 18 has provided Personal Information, contact us so we can assess and address it.

11. Your rights and choices

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access to or correction of Personal Information, withdraw consent, object to or restrict certain processing, request deletion, obtain a portable copy, or complain to a data protection authority. These rights may be limited by lawful exceptions, the rights of others, the public nature of content, technical limits, and recordkeeping obligations.

You may update profile information through your account where that feature is available. You may request account deletion or exercise a privacy right by emailing mythspan@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity and authority before acting.

12. Third-party services

Links, social platforms, authentication providers, and other third-party services have their own privacy practices. This Policy does not govern services that Mythspan does not control.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy as the Services and our practices change. The updated version takes effect from the stated date. Where required, we may provide additional notice or request consent.
